The Minarets chapter of the California Scholarship Federation is now accepting applications for the Spring semester! This is a great opportunity that can help you with your after-high school plans.
CSF Advisor Katie Morgan described what the club is, “It is basically a state organization to recognize California students who excel in academics”.
Besides being an addition to your resume, being a part of CSF can introduce students to new opportunities. CSF Member and junior Jessica McGrail described why CSF is important, “ It gives you more opportunities to learn about colleges, I mean not only does it look good on applications but it’s really academically focused and really beneficial that way."
For students who are considering applying, you must have no D’s or F’s in any of your classes along with the application, you must submit a transcript of your last semester’s grades as well as a five-dollar fee that can be turned into the media lounge before school, at lunch or after school. The application and transcript are due by Friday, Jan 31 at 3:45 p.m. Once you are excepted CSF meeting is held every odd Wednesday at lunch in room 613. The California Scholarship Federation club is great for college and is an amazing opportunity for students to get ahead in preparing for college.
