Faculty Spotlight: Mrs. Darrah – Cultivating Success at Minarets

Writer: Minarets Press StaffMinarets Press Staff

This week on Monday March 3, 2025 at Minarets High school our press team had the opportunity to speak with one of our dedicated Ag teachers.  We asked her two key questions about her role and the vision for our school.

Our first question was: “What made you become an ag teacher at minarets?”

Darrah shared, “I became a teacher at Minarets because this is home to me– this area. I went to highschool at Sierra high school, so having the opportunity to come here and be around family was a big reason to come back.”

Mrs. Darrah is passionate about providing students with valuable opportunities in Ag. She works hard to help students become successful in highschool and expose them to different  career pathways within the field.

Mrs. Darrah has many plans for our school, bringing school spirit through her involvement in Ag programs on campus and rallying others to do the same.

For our final question, we asked, “What do you want to do to improve the Ag department or Minarets in general?”  To which she responded,“I would love to see more school spirit and more support from all the departments on campus. I think that starts with the staff and then trickling down into the students and building the culture and supporting each other.” She is always looking for ways to improve Minarets High school in general and hyping up  the students and staff. Thank you for everything you do for Minarets and the agriculture department.
